Feathers Breaking Free

An original fan novel set in the world of Demon Slayer. The heroine, Bai Chuan Linxi, loses her family to demons when they are killed protecting her. Gyomei Himejima takes her to the Ubuyashiki residence. Seeing how determined she is to avenge her family, Kagaya Ubuyashiki entrusts her to Mizutani Asajiro, the former Wind Hashira. Kyojuro introduces Sanemi Shinazugawa to Mizutani Asajiro, and Sanemi becomes Linxi’s fellow disciple. She creates her own Feather Breathing Style. After passing the selection, she joins the Demon Slayer Corps, meets Mitsuri Kanroji, and they become close friends. (I originally wanted the ending to stay close to the original, with Linxi and Tamako sacrificing themselves too, but I just couldn’t bear to do it.)
