[Siheyuan] [Folkloric Supernatural] [Scheming Wish Fulfillment]

After transmigrating to a Siheyuan in a parallel 1960s, Li Qing becomes an orphan living in the back courtyard, and the last paper effigy maker of the Yin-gathering trade in the entire city of Beijing. The courtyard’s greedy residents want his family’s inheritance. They not only try to seize his home, but secretly sabotage his apprenticeship banquet, hoping to force him to die on a winter night. At the critical moment, Li Qing awakens his ancestral Netherworld Eyes, seeing through both open schemes and hidden supernatural plots!

Jia Zhangshi throws a tantrum and rolls around on the ground? He makes a big-headed ghost baby to give her sleep paralysis every night! Yi Zhonghai tries to guilt-trip him? He uses his Netherworld Eyes to sever Yi Zhonghai’s karmic merit, leaving him plagued by backlash and bad luck! Silly Zhu wants to throw a punch? Three thousand paper soldiers march through the night, scaring him into helplessness!

When strange incidents plague the Red Star Steel Mill, and old objects around Beijing begin acting up, everyone realizes that the blind boy who quietly makes paper effigies in the back courtyard has long since become a living King of Hell, one even the most powerful figures in every realm must kneel before!
