Looking for Novels Set During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, the Jin Dynasty, or the Northern and Southern Dynasties
I’ve read so many stories set in the Tang, Song, and Ming dynasties that I’m tired of them. I’d like to try some less common historical periods. Preferably completed. Please recommend some~~~
Books Set During the Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties or the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms
Historical novels set during the Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties, or the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.
Stories About Power Struggles in Both the Martial World and the Imperial Court?
The protagonist should be decisive and ruthless. The antagonists should be intelligent, or there shouldn’t be any absolute villains. No female lead, and above all, no woman should turn the protagonist into an idiot.
Martial Arts, the Jianghu, and Court Politics, with a Smart Protagonist Who’ll Do Anything to Achieve His Goals
Smart protagonists who aren't sanctimonious.

In the past, I had to pass by the "Ge Hong" statue in Gedian when I went to school. I have always wanted to write something for the hometown celebrity "Ge Hong". This novel is a Taoist fantasy novel based on Ge Hong, a Taoist scholar, alchemist, and medical expert in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (author of "Emergency Prescriptions", "Biography of Immortals", "Baopuzi", etc.). It tells the story of the legendary experience of Ge Hong and his fiancée Bao Qianguang from their acquaintance to their marriage under the special historical background of the "Southern Journey in Clothes" during the Jin Dynasty. It deconstructs the well-known Tao Yuanming's "Peach Blossom Spring", opens up the mysterious "Mother Realm", depicts the touching "Friends of Yang and Zuo", and together with Tao Kan blocks the southern invasion of the Northern Huns Liu Yuan's military group in the "Yishi War", the love story of Du Tao and Miao Jiuli, heroes in troubled times. Heroism and historical choices. The background of the story is Baihu Town in Gedian, Hanxi District in Xishan Mountain in Ezhou, Geshan Mountain in Daqing Mountain, Peach Blossom Spring in Chaisang, and Dongting Lake in Changsha, Jingzhou. The plot is compact and advances layer by layer, worth watching! Friends who like to promote our Ezhou cultural celebrities such as "Ge Hong" and "Tao Kan" can recommend this novel, comment or forward it, which is a kind of support!
The title of the book is unremarkable, but the author has a very rich imagination! The plot has ups and downs. Bao Qianguang's character is vivid and vivid. Looking at her dialogue with her old father, it can be seen that she has been pampered since she was a child. It reminded me of Huang Rong, who is talented, smart and independent.
This book is a fantasy novel based on Ge Hong, a Taoist scholar, alchemist, and medical scientist in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It tells the legendary experience of Ge Hong and Bao Qianguang from their acquaintance to their marriage under the special historical background of the Wei and Jin Dynasties when they traveled south. It combines the well-known "Peach Blossom Spring" by Tao Yuanming, opens up the mysterious "Mother Realm", and depicts the touching "Yang Zuo Friendship". The plot is compact and advanced layer by layer. It is worth watching! I feel sorry for Miao Jiuli and Du Tao. They each have their own difficulties and it's hard to let go! Under such circumstances, an ordinary life is really a delusion. Thank you mother for giving birth to me in New China! [Laugh]
Not bad, a bit like Jin Yong's painting style in the 1990s
