Who Is the Underworld's Ghost Constable? Sun Wukong of Fangcun Mountain, That's Who

After the Journey to the West ended, the Monkey King thought that after enduring humiliation and protecting Tang Sanzang on his quest for the scriptures, he would finally regain his freedom.

Who could have guessed that the Western Sect would still bind him to Buddhism's war chariot and force him to fight for them?

Facing the golden headband above his head and the Buddhas filling the heavens, the Monkey King flew into a rage. But he had been manipulated from the very beginning, trapped by the shackles of fate, and was ultimately suppressed and converted once more.

Humiliation, resentment, regret, and fury filled his heart.

And just then, he was reborn!

He returned to the time before his havoc in Heaven, after getting drunk on Flower-Fruit Mountain and being dragged to the underworld by the Black and White Impermanence.

According to the original story, he was supposed to tear up the Book of Life and Death, wreak havoc in the underworld, and then storm Heaven.

But now Sun Wukong was eerily calm. Terrifyingly calm.

Western Sect: “Buddha, everything is arranged. Heaven and the underworld have coordinated with us. That monkey has entered the underworld, and everything is going according to plan.”

King Yama: “Can anyone relate? I've prepared all the underworld's messy accounts, just waiting for the Great Sage Equal to Heaven to tear up the Book of Life and Death. But why is he refusing to leave? The whole Three Realms is watching the underworld. What am I supposed to do? I'm waiting for answers here, and it's urgent!”

Heaven: “Monkey, hurry up and get here! Everything's coordinated, and we've prepared a hundred thousand cannon fodder. We're just waiting for you to cause a scene.”

Sun Wukong stood atop the Ghost Gate Pass, gazing at the countless gods and Buddhas across the Three Realms, his eyes full of menace.

“I'm not tearing up the Book of Life and Death. This script? This old Sun isn't acting in it anymore.”

Patriarch Bodhi: “The workings of fate have changed. In this life, whoever dares bully my disciple will turn the Three Realms into a river of blood.”

The underworld: “Whether the Three Realms fall into chaos is for Pingxin to decide. The Monkey King is the battle demon god of my underworld. Whoever dares touch him will face a million underworld soldiers and see the Three Realms drenched in blood...”
