He is human, and he is a dragon.
Humans call him a "mongrel," while dragons see him as a "disgrace." For eighteen years, the only thing he had was the reverse scale on his chest, the last thing his mother left him.
He didn't know what the reverse scale concealed.
Until one day, the people hunting him said, "The Dragon Clan's supreme treasure, the Ancestral Dragon Pearl, is inside you."
Overnight, the human race wanted to kill him to silence him, the Dragon Clan wanted to take the pearl and cut it out of him, and the beast race wanted to capture him as a slave.
For three years, he ran, killed, and fought to survive, accompanied by a fox-eared girl who only knew how to tug at his sleeve, a boy so talkative he wanted to sew his mouth shut, and a female officer who kept charging forward even after her spear broke.
They asked, "How long are we going to keep running?"
Standing at the border between the two races, he pointed to the land no one dared set foot on.
"We're done running. We'll build a city there, and take in everyone with nowhere else to go."
The city was named "Abandoned City."
The day the armies of both races surrounded the city, he walked out through the gates alone.
"If you want to fight, go ahead. Just don't fight at my front door."
Someone sneered, "Who do you think you are?"
He didn't answer.
He simply raised his hand.
Golden dragon scales emerged one by one across its back.
Behind him, the city gates slowly opened. Thousands of people abandoned by both races stood there.
