On the Day We Divorced, I Emptied the General's Residence and Went into Exile

Shen Yu, a modern food blogger, opens her eyes to find she has become the punching bag of a general’s household that is about to be confiscated.

From the start, she is handed a divorce agreement, and she signs her name without hesitation!

She has barely stepped out the door when the imperial decree to confiscate the family’s property arrives!

As the Gu family wails in despair, Shen Yu holds up the divorce agreement and declares, “Sir, I’m no longer connected to the Gu family. These are all my dowry and compensation!”

And so, under the shocked gazes of the guards and her ex-husband’s family, she pulls off a perfectly “legal, zero-cost shopping spree.”

The rare medicinal herbs in the storeroom? Mine!

The finest ingredients in the kitchen? Mine!

Even the chickens, ducks, and geese in the backyard are mine!

She means to make off with billions’ worth of supplies and live it up, but then she sees her framed ex-husband and the younger brother-in-law who has protected her all this way... In the end, her heart softens.

Fine. Three thousand miles into exile: she’ll treat it as immersive wilderness survival!

From then on, the exile party’s routine takes a wild turn.

While everyone else chews tree bark, she gathers the whole family for hot pot.

While everyone else sleeps in the wilderness, her donkey cart becomes a luxury RV.

The general who once looked down on her now follows behind the cart with a bowl in his hands, eyes red. “Yu Niang, I was blind before. Please... give me another bowl of meat?”
