Chinese Showbiz: It All Started When I Turned Down Yang Mi

Chen Lang transmigrates and becomes a male model trying to make it in Shanghai.

The good news: He's handsome and in great shape.

The bad news: His pockets are emptier than his face is clean, and his rent is almost due.

Chen Lang doesn't panic. His life motto is just eight words: When you get to the bridge, you'll find a way across. If not, lie down and sleep.

He thought he'd keep scraping by as a model, but after waking up one day, he inexplicably finds himself with an audition notice for a production.

And it's for the male second lead in a major IP.

Chen Lang: ??? Who signed me up?

At the audition, he pushes open the door.

A woman sits on the sofa with her legs crossed, watching him with an amused smile.

Da Mimi: “You're here to audition? Can you act?”

Chen Lang looks at her and thinks for a moment. “A little, but not much. But, sis, there's a problem with your script. The logic doesn't hold up.”

Da Mimi: ???

The director beside her draws a sharp breath. This kid's got some nerve!
