The Thirtieth Day After the Divorce

[On the thirtieth day after their divorce, she hands him a pregnancy test. He falls to his knees in the rain and begs her not to go.]

For three years of marriage, Gu Beichen treated Su Nian as a stand-in for his late first love.

When she had a fever of 104 degrees, he was celebrating “her” birthday.

When she miscarried and hemorrhaged, he was acquiring Starry Seas for “her.”

The day her heart finally died, Su Nian handed him the divorce papers. “I’ll wait thirty days for you to sign.”

Gu Beichen sneered, certain she couldn’t bear to give up the title of Mrs. Gu. “If you still insist after thirty days, I’ll let you go.”

After leaving him, Su Nian discovered she was pregnant with his posthumous child.

Five years later, the internationally renowned jewelry designer “S” returns home with a gifted little one.

At an auction, Gu Beichen spends tens of millions to win the “Captive Heart” brooch, hoping to please his first love.

The designer announces in front of everyone, “This piece isn’t for sale, because it’s a token of love between me and my late husband.”

The crowd erupts.

Gu Beichen sees the little boy beside her, a miniature version of himself. Eyes red, he corners her against the wall.

“Late husband? Su Nian, why does your son look exactly like me?!”

“The thirtieth day after our divorce? Let me tell you, whether it’s day 300 or day 3,000, you’re not leaving me in this lifetime!”
