Great Tang: A Death Row Poet Stuns the Imperial Consort

From the start, he is in the death row of the Dali Temple, framed by treacherous ministers and due to be executed at noon!

Gu Xuan transmigrates into the Tang Dynasty. Trapped in a desperate situation, he drinks himself into a frenzy and carves the timeless masterpiece “Bring in the Wine” into the prison wall.

“Heaven has endowed me with talents; they must be put to use. A thousand gold coins spent will come back again!”

One poem stirs Yang Guifei beyond the curtain, shatters the pride of the literary world, and even prompts Li Longji to issue a personal imperial pardon.

From a lowly condemned prisoner to the Tang Dynasty’s foremost literary genius, he is dressed in white as pure as snow, yet ruthless to the core.

He recruits famous generals, toys with powerful ministers, and builds a private army.

When the An Lushan Rebellion erupts, at Mawei Slope, Gu Xuan takes the Noble Consort’s hand and watches coldly as the emperor flees in panic.

“Your Majesty, I’ll gladly take the Tang Empire off your hands!”
