Yixiu Only Wants to Be Empress Dowager

I wake up to find myself Yixiu, the most tragic empress in Empresses in the Palace.

She spent her whole life fighting over a man, only to lose her son and her position, and die without ever seeing him again.

Given another life, why bother with competing over men? Whoever wants that bastard can have him!

Step one: Save my poor son. He's the only future crown prince!

Step two: Tear into my scheming green-tea sister Chun Yuan and teach her the difference between legitimate and illegitimate birth!

Step three: Build an "Anti-Zhen Huan Alliance" and make sure the heroine of the original story starts out behind!

The emperor: "Empress, why do you keep sending the consorts to me?"

Yixiu (smiling gently): "Your Majesty, sharing your favor fairly is the way of a true ruler."

(Inner thoughts: Go see the others! Don't get in the way of me raising an heir and building my career!)

The emperor: "Empress, why aren't you jealous?"

Yixiu (virtuous and gracious): "As the example for the Six Palaces, I must naturally be magnanimous."

(Inner thoughts: Whoever you have a child with, that child will still have to call me Mother!)

Fight for his favor? Not a chance.

In this life, I want only power and the position of empress dowager! Anyone who stands in my way dies!
