Synopsis

On the Day the City Fell, an Old Court Historian Used His Brush to Keep the Last Emperor Alive, Aging from Sixty to Eighty in the Process!

When Caizhou fell, the old historian Zhang Qian discovered that every stroke made one second pass.

With a single brush, he gave a doomed emperor who should have ruled for just two hours another three days and three nights.

The price: for every minute he wrote, he aged a year.

In the end, he donned the imperial robes and died in the emperor's place, hiding the truth in a crack in the wall to wait for eight hundred years.

“The historian's brush is the switch that controls time.”

“He wasn't writing history. He was writing his own life.”

“That line on the last page, ‘Not a single word was false,’ absolutely broke me!”
