A No-Nonsense Diary of Preparing for the Civil Service Exam

This book is entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual people or events is purely coincidental. “All your efforts will eventually make themselves heard.” You may think the pain and confusion you’ve gone through are unique, that nobody could understand them. But reading will show you that countless people have already experienced what you have, suffered through it, and found a way forward. The answers are in books! This is a serious novel with few feel-good moments. Rather than a novel, it’s more like a diary about preparing for the civil service exam. As the title suggests, it’s all about the civil service exam: from the uncertainty of graduating from college to taking one step at a time toward the place you want to reach. That’s it. It’s not a feel-good power fantasy in the traditional sense. That’s just what it is.
