I Don't Want to Join the Underworld

My name is Chen Ye. On the streets, they call me Wild Dog.

Three years ago, I was a low-level errand boy for the Mang Gang in the south of the city. Nobody knew that I kept a police badge, worn smooth and hot to the touch, in my pocket. I was an undercover cop planted deep inside the gang, codename Zero Seven.

Three years later, at Lord Hu’s Hongmen Banquet, Scarface tried to frame me. In front of more than thirty people, I took down eight thugs single-handedly.

They call me a hard case.

But they don’t know that I’ve just escaped a police manhunt, only to be hunted by the underworld. My handler, Old Zhou, is dead, and the police mole still hasn’t been exposed. Su Qingyuan, the Mang Gang’s sister-in-law, looks at me like I’m prey, with a blade hidden beneath her flirtation.

And now I’m a wanted murderer…

I live by the blade, test the limits between life and death, and keep shifting between the worlds of black and white.

I struggle to choose between staying alive and clearing my name.

Even a wild dog needs allies, even if he is a lone wolf.

Volumes One and Two are separate arcs with the same theme. If you want to read the prison story, you can jump straight to Volume Two.
