Shen Huaixu first saw Xie Shu in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows in the school library.
The sun was shining that day. Xie Shu stood on tiptoe, reaching for a poetry collection on the top shelf. His school uniform sleeve slipped down, revealing a glimpse of his slender, pale wrist. As if possessed, Shen Huaixu walked over and reached up to take the book down for him.
“Thanks.” Xie Shu took the book, the corners of his eyes curving into a lovely crescent moon.
Only later did Shen Huaixu learn that this boy was a “legend” among the first-years. He had a cool, distant face, yet at their very first meeting, he’d dared to slip a note into Shen Huaixu’s desk: “When you play basketball, could you stop wiping your sweat on your shirt all the time?”
Shen Huaixu: ???
Before long, everyone knew there was “something going on” between them.
When Xie Shu had a stomachache, Shen Huaixu could run three streets over during a ten-minute break to buy him hot porridge. When Shen Huaixu played basketball, Xie Shu would call it “childish,” yet never missed a game, always clutching a bottle of strawberry milk. On the tree-lined path after evening study, the moonlight stretched their shadows long, long across the ground. Now and then, the shadows would quietly overlap.
They promised to go to the seaside together after the college entrance exams, raise a cat together, and put down roots in the same city.
That winter, a heavy snow fell. Xie Shu stood on the field, his eyelashes dusted with white flakes. Shen Huaixu reached out to brush them away, but Xie Shu caught him by the wrist.
“Shen Huaixu,” Xie Shu said, “let’s skip class.”
“Where to?”
“Anywhere. Because...” The boy lifted his head, his eyes shining brighter than the stars filling the sky. “For the rest of my life, I want to waste my time with you.”
If only time could have stopped right there.
It's very good. I always like it. This is the first time I read a niche book. The writing style is indeed not as good as that of most popular teachers, and there is not much gorgeous language, but I can write everything else well, which is actually quite good. I was attracted to it at first by the cover. It is really important that the cover looks good. Anyway, I just want to say that I can't forget it, and I hope they will be happy in the parallel world.
Delicate emotions, worth reading, a slightly sour story
A slightly acidic short article. I really like this kind of daily flow. Author, are you bomb-proof? The writing is really beautiful and it will definitely become popular (。- .•)
