【Two chapters a day, ten thousand words daily? ... The rating will rise over time. Thanks for your support!】
The protagonist, Chu Yuan, is a seventh-rank Inspector and Soul Guide in the Underworld. His job is to travel through the human realm and escort departed souls, making him the “liaison” between the worlds of yin and yang. To make it easier to work in the human realm, he maintains the public identity of a night-shift supervisor at a funeral home...
Unlike power fantasies about fighting monsters and leveling up, this story focuses more on strictly following the Underworld’s regulations and maintaining the order between yin and yang. Any action or ghost official that disrupts that order will be punished.
Watch Chu Yuan gradually go from a cold, heartless ghost official to someone with a little “humanity” in him. (He’ll get promoted too, since he really does help the living fight monsters.)
