Lin Shen runs a quiet, nearly empty bar in an old seaside lane. For three years, he has waited for someone who will never return, living in silence and suffocating gloom. One stormy night, Su Wan stumbles into his bar, soaked to the skin and with nowhere else to go. She has no home, her body is covered in wounds, and her eyes are empty.
Two people crushed by life share a roof in silence. There is no passionate pursuit, no sweet talk, only cautious steps toward each other, restrained tenderness, and company through the night. Lin Shen wants to protect her; Su Wan wants to hold on to a glimmer of light.
But the shadows of the past refuse to let go, and the weight of reality leaves them struggling to breathe. Their fixations and insecurities pull them back and forth between love and retreat. They fight desperately to get close, then just as desperately push each other away. Though they save each other, in the end they are defeated by fate and regret.
The tides rise and fall, and the city goes on as before. Only they remain in the wind, silent, unable to find peace.
