Fuhua: Under the Surface

A military secret sealed away for seven years. A conspiracy spanning three continents. An intense exploration of the very nature of “intimate relationships.” The story begins when Sherlock receives an encrypted message from his older brother Mycroft, a representative of the British government’s deep state. A military analyst has vanished under mysterious circumstances, and the data they left behind points to a war crime in Afghanistan that was covered up. The only key to deciphering the clues is closely tied to a battlefield trauma John Watson suffered seven years ago. As their investigation deepens, they discover that the disappearance is only the tip of the iceberg. Behind it lies a systematic operation codenamed “Undercurrent”: the military, intelligence agencies, and business and political magnates are working together to cover up war crimes and eliminate witnesses. John’s late comrade David Russell was one of Undercurrent’s earliest victims.
