I Am a Good Person

Lu Xi, an actress who specializes in villain roles, transmigrates into a script. She'd planned to lie flat and play a heroine, but falls in love at first sight with her fated “opponent,” the empress. Caught in a whirlpool of political intrigue, she chooses to protect rather than betray, ultimately finding both success and love. Lu Xi (26 in the modern world, 20 in ancient times) Identity: A modern actress barely known in the industry → transmigrates into a book as a Palace Attendant in the Shangong Bureau of Chu Appearance: Fox-like eyes, dazzling beauty, and an innate “bad woman” aura Personality: Calm and rational on the surface, highly capable at her job, and tactful in dealing with others But soft-hearted inside, longing to be loved, and awkward yet devoted toward the person she likes. Skills: A history major familiar with ancient institutions and customs; a gifted manager whose modern management skills give her a decisive advantage. She goes from “I just want to lie flat, earn money, and leave the palace to enjoy retirement” to “I'm willing to be trapped in the palace for her,” and then learns “how to balance love and freedom.” Jiang Shunhua (18) Identity: The second empress of Chu → Empress Dowager Regent Appearance: Dignified and elegant, with the grace of an orchid and a naturally cool, distant air Personality: Gentle and proper, considerate in all she does, resilient and patient, with a mind full of ambition. Though fate pushes her along, she never gives in. She longs for genuine affection but is constrained by her status. Her dependence on and attraction to Lu Xi are the only things that make her “lose control.” From an empress forced into the palace → an empress dowager who holds the court together → a woman brave enough to pursue love. Both leads are devoted to each other. Happy ending.
