The Ninth Gate of the Asylum

The Ninth Gate of the Asylum:

A Jiu opens her eyes to find herself trapped in the Ninth Gate Asylum. Shackles, strange tales, and cold rules: this place has never been part of the human world, but a prison of the Three Realms that cages souls.

She has lost her memory, is considered insane, and has been diagnosed with delusions of becoming an immortal. Yet she was born able to break feng shui, subdue evil spirits, and overturn the rules. Every patient in the asylum is inhuman, and they all fear the handsome director in a wheelchair, Fang Zizhou. Cold and sinister, he commands life and death. He is the asylum's one and only god, yet he makes an exception only for her, protects her, and hides a tenderness he has been unable to express for three thousand years.

As one terrifying rule-bound ordeal follows another and fragments of memory come to light, she gradually sees the truth: the Southern Heavenly Gate shattered, and her soul split into nine pieces of Tai Sui spine. He abandoned his own Ziwei godhood and shattered the power of the stars, using his divine soul as kindling to build the asylum and set a thousand-year plan in motion, all to piece together her broken soul and protect her as she is reborn.

But the deadlock decreed by Heaven looms over them: when she becomes an adult, he will vanish. He bears Heaven's fate for her, and she goes berserk protecting her husband. The rules are a cage, and he is her bottom line. Tai Sui is the soul, and love means defying fate.

An amnesiac, willful, mad beauty × a fallen god in a wheelchair. From meeting in a cage to souls relying on each other; from being unable to defy fate to rewriting it against the heavens. He locks her away in an asylum for three thousand years, and she accompanies him with nine fragments of her soul, going mad with him for a lifetime.

The deepest obsession was never to become a god. It was to go mad with you, love you for a lifetime, and never let the story end.
