[Untamable, clingy pursuer × quiet, reserved, aloof pursued]
[Lead singer × psychologist]
Jiang Zhuolin sings regularly at a bar, where he and a few equally young bandmates have formed a small group around the same unrealistic dream. The crowd below is a loose murmur. He plays guitar and hums songs he wrote himself, yet the lyrics always feel insubstantial, unable to reach that smoldering, empty corner of his heart.
Until he meets Chen Fenxia.
Quiet and distant, he is like a snowfield that will never melt.
One night after the show, Jiang Zhuolin rushes up to him, eyes shining.
“Did you understand the song I sang?”
On his phone screen are a few lines of lyrics he secretly photographed from the other man’s notebook.
“Come with me. From now on, you’ll write the lyrics to my songs.”
So, after Jiang Zhuolin’s relentless pleading, Chen Fenxia joins the band and becomes his personal lyricist.
That is, until Chen Fenxia, a psychologist, realizes that all of Jiang Zhuolin’s new song ideas come from his subtle probing and possessiveness toward him.
Jiang Zhuolin has also long since realized that the inspiration behind the lyrics that made him a star all came from himself.
After the celebration banquet, Jiang Zhuolin corners Chen Fenxia backstage. His breath is hot, his nose brushes Chen Fenxia’s cool earlobe, and his low, husky voice is saturated with dangerous desire.
“Dr. Chen, the line you wrote, ‘Love is a loss of control left unfinished’...”
“How about we finish writing it together?”
