A Cocoon in Guixu

Xuanyao, the most powerful prisoner in the Three Realms, has seven soul-locking spikes pinning down the "Void," a forbidden force that can devour existence. For three thousand years, he has endured the pain alone and descended into madness alone, until A Jian tumbles into his Guixu.

She was born with an incomplete lifespan and won't live past thirty, yet she can touch the "Void," something even the gods fear. He stubbornly claims he's keeping her as a "test subject," but in truth, after a thousand years of sleeplessness, she's the only white noise that lets him sleep. She laughs and calls him a "shut-in who's been locked up for three thousand years," yet after he loosens a spike and kills someone, she's the first to ask him, "Does it hurt?"

The "Heartlinking Curse" binds them together, a bond and a curse: when she hurts, he knows; when he loosens a spike, she burns.

When Jiu Ying catches the scent of the Void's fluctuations, when the Siming Hall discovers his romantic feelings, and when the truth about the "Fallen God" from three thousand years ago comes to light... Xuanyao's seven soul-locking spikes begin to loosen one by one. He goes from instantly killing a Heavenly Lord with half a spike loosened to being capable of destroying the Three Realms with all seven released, yet he begins to devour the person he least wants to hurt.

With her broken lifeline, she knits a silver-white scarf to calm him. Under the pretense of being "roommates," she makes him learn to say, "I'll wait for you." And with a mortal's body, in the black mist of his loss of control, she takes his hand and says, "Share some of your pain with me, and we'll be even."

The essence of the "Void" is the possibility of nonexistence, while she is the only "existence" he wants to remain.

From a prison in Guixu to an anchor between two realms, from "guarding the prison for three thousand years" to a symbiosis that is "neither god, nor human, nor demon," this is a story of two people choosing each other and defying fate: he learns how to be "weak" for her, and she weaves a new Heavenly Dao for him.
