[Two male leads / plot-driven / wuxia fantasy / powerful leads who save each other / multiple POVs]
A few warnings: The leads don't appear together in Chapter 1; the love interest appears in Chapter 2. This is a plot-driven story.
They meet in Chapter 3, and there are plenty of sweet moments. The early writing is light and comedic.
The utterly straight-laced Chu Wenzhao is determined to find his father's killer. Gritting his teeth, he pretends to be gay to win over the rumored ugly lord of the manor, whose face is covered in sores.
But the moment they meet, he finds himself facing a bewitching beauty, an unparalleled one.
Before he can recover, the man moves close, his breath brushing Chu Wenzhao's ear.
Chu Wenzhao freezes, screaming inwardly while forcing himself to keep up the act.
Later, he discovers that the enemy this beauty is hunting is the same one he's after.
Together, they fight their way from the martial world back to their hometown.
But this beauty kills without blinking and is ruthless in his methods, while justice is etched into Chu Wenzhao's very bones.
Their clashing values drive a wedge between them. They part ways, and Chu Wenzhao's heart dies.
The righteous factions lay a trap, waiting for the beauty to walk right into it on the day of Chu Wenzhao's engagement.
The elusive lord steps out of the Qianjin Tower, where he has been confined for more than twenty years. Risking a relapse of his old illness, he faces a hall full of swords and stands before Chu Wenzhao.
The crowd erupts: “He's Lan Jinxue! The demon lord of Qianjin Tower!”
But Lan Jinxue only looks at Chu Wenzhao. “I've come to steal you away. Will you come with me?”
The truth eventually comes out: Lan Jinxue isn't gay at all.
Chu Wenzhao is mortified and runs away.
But at the edge of a cliff, the beauty drops from the sky and blocks his path.
Chu Wenzhao's eyes widen in shock. “H-How did you find me?”
Lan Jinxue smiles slyly. “This time, let me be the one to pursue you. What do you say?”
[A note for readers] A straight-laced top × a smiling, sly bottom
Plot-driven: multiple POVs and martial-world factions
Romance: constant interactions, getting flustered when teased, and public mortification
Not a pure sweet romance, but there's plenty of sweetness.
If you enjoy stories with both plot and romance, come aboard!
It's very interesting to read, and the writing is the main focus. The characterization is as good as ever, but I guessed the wrong place.
It's good-looking, but the emotional development is a bit slow, but it doesn't matter, as long as it's good-looking
Yes, the previous storylines were well written, but the end at the end was too sudden, and the villain died too easily. I feel that there are actually many more stories that can be written later.
