Siheyuan: From the Start, I Break the Beasts' Ribs

Jiang Yan transmigrates to 1948 and becomes the orphaned son of a fallen hero, holding a massive 8,000-yuan compensation payout in the courtyard compound.

From the start, the courtyard beasts are pressuring him to donate? Guilt-tripping him?

Yi Zhonghai, Silly Zhu, and Deaf Granny, not one of you is getting away!

He breaks all three of their ribs, then reports them to the police as a fallen hero’s son. Robbery, bullying, and misappropriating a hero’s property: I’m sending you all to prison!

From then on, Jiang Yan decides to lie flat.

He puts 8,000 yuan in the bank and earns 400 yuan a month in interest alone, more than anyone else in the courtyard!

With time on his hands, he recreates palace pastries: lotus pastries, sachima, honey-glazed sesame bars... Their aroma fills the alleys and leaves the neighboring beasts drooling!

While you’re scheming against each other over a mouthful of cornmeal, I’m living like a god thanks to my skills and interest income.

Don’t mess with me. I just want to quietly enjoy life as a food lover and watch you all tear each other apart.
