Chief! Your Forty-Eight-Year-Old Daughter Became Famous for Her Bone-Setting Skills

Forty-eight-year-old Lin Xiulan was reborn. In her previous life, she buried her family’s hereditary craft for the sake of a “secure job,” working like a beast of burden for the Zhao family, only to meet a miserable end. This time, to hell with a secure job! To hell with being a good wife and loving mother! When the wave of layoffs hit, she gladly took the money and walked away, leaving behind her bloodsucking husband and the selfish children who had drained her dry. With one hand on the bones and a knife in the other, she brewed a pot of blood-nourishing medicine. In the 1990s, she made her way by reading bones and feeling pulses with her own hands, opening an era of her own. No comparisons, no catfights: she let her skills speak for themselves. As traditional Chinese medicine fell out of favor, she built her clinic into the biggest wellness center in the provincial capital. Then one day, an old commander who had spent his life on the battlefield walked into her clinic. Watching her back as she brewed medicine, tears streamed down his face.

“No, no, this way of brewing medicine is exactly like that old sister-in-law who protected you back then…”

From a laid-off factory worker everyone looked down on to the respected daughter of a commander in the military compound, Lin Xiulan played a terrible hand into a winning one with her skillful hands.
