The River Coffin

During a low-water period, a cluster of bronze coffins emerged from the riverbed along a stretch of the Yangtze. Local fishermen have passed down a prophetic saying for generations: "When the waters recede, the dragon retreats; when the coffins open, all will perish."

The eerie discovery: The coffins are linked by chains and submerged at the bottom of the river, forming some kind of formation. When they are opened, every corpse is found wearing modern diving gear, yet carbon dating shows they have been dead for more than three thousand years. More terrifying still, the serial numbers on the equipment belong to an archaeological team that went missing just three days ago.
