Beneath the Abyss 2018

A businessman who fell into the abyss planted a seed of his original aspiration deep in the mountains. He spent ten years passing the baton to the young, eighty years passing it on to the world, and in the end, passed it to the stars. An original aspiration is not a belief, but a relay; not an answer, but kindness. This is a story about falling, being reborn, carrying on a legacy, and traveling far.

After going bankrupt in middle age and hitting rock bottom, Zhou Yi rescued a girl deep in the mountains and also picked up a seed called an "original aspiration." Starting with a single walnut and one farming family, he built an alliance for grassroots workers amid betrayal, poverty, storms, and doubt.

From cooperatives to an alliance, from the countryside to the world, from Earth to the stars. Sixty years of perseverance, eighty years of legacy, and a journey spanning a century, guided by an original aspiration.

He did not cling to power, but voluntarily passed the baton at his peak. He did not resist technology, but upheld human dignity amid the waves of change.

He did not pursue immortality, but left behind light and a sense of direction through the years.

There are no perfect heroes here, only ordinary people who get back up after falling. There is no eternal victory, only kindness and curiosity that never fade.

An original aspiration does not mean never failing, but being able to get back up after failure. It does not mean never getting hurt, but still being able to trust after being hurt.

It does not mean never dying, but leaving behind a little light after death.

This is one person's abyss, and a group of people's stars. This is a Chinese story, and also an answer for all humanity.

Take up this baton,

and you and I are both heirs to this original aspiration.
