Detective Conan: A Sharp-Tongued Master Mistaken for a Poor Little Thing

[Saving the Detective Academy crew × every identity is mine × not told from a single perspective] Kanzaki Toru died. The System said he could earn points in the Detective Conan world and come back to life. He lay flat. “Whatever. Just let me die.” The System cried as he ran it ragged, then finally kicked him into the world. And so a mysterious, sharp-tongued consultant arrived at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Once they learned about him, they discovered that his parents had died in the line of duty, he’d returned to Japan alone, and he had a tragic past. He was also surrounded by a group of people whose motives were unclear. What is this, the story of a pitiful but beautiful and strong little thing? Everyone switched into protect-the-kid mode. The good guys felt sorry for him, thinking he was “trapped between opposing sides with no choice but to fight for survival,” while the bad guys sighed that “it’s just his bad luck to be targeted by all these people.” But they could never have guessed that all of those identities belonged to Kanzaki Toru. The information broker in the darknet whose loyalties were impossible to discern? Him. The mysterious officer in the Black Organization whose whereabouts were unknown? Him. The sixth member of the Detective Academy Five, who had faced life and death alongside them? Him. Even the System, run ragged, was ranting inwardly: Get a grip! He’s no pitiful little thing! He’s a menace! Kanzaki Toru: I have no idea. I haven’t done anything. P.S. Content warnings: The synopsis may be revised as the story develops and is not final. The protagonist’s values don’t necessarily reflect the author’s. This is a self-indulgent work. *There are many original characters and plotlines, and the timeline may get jumbled. I’ll revise the story from time to time. I’m also busy with my day job, so I usually only have time to write on weekends. For now, updates are once a week. Chapter titles tend to be long. I usually pick a line from the chapter itself. As for the plot, I’ll probably write whatever I dream up. Anything can happen.
