Just Divided from the Family, I Build a Peach Blossom Haven with Everyone in the Mountains

[Fleeing famine + building a settlement deep in the mountains + species-space System + reborn + strong, devoted one-on-one couple]

Chen Xiaohe was reborn on the third day after word arrived that her father had died while performing corvee labor.

In her previous life, her heartless paternal grandmother took the opportunity to throw her gravely ill mother and young brother out of the house. When the family split up, all they got was a drafty, dilapidated thatched hut on the edge of the village.

She knows that in half a month, the father reported dead will return alive and well, bringing a generous reward and a father and son from the neighboring village who are both exceptionally skilled hunters.

She also knows that next year, a terrible drought will leave the land parched for thousands of miles, and people will eat their own children to survive!

Reborn, Chen Xiaohe isn’t sad at all. She decisively signs the papers severing ties with her family, then happily moves into the thatched hut with her mother and brother.

The hut is drafty, and they have no food? No problem! She has bound herself to a System!

She casually rescues a wild chicken with a broken leg and unlocks the space feature [Miniature Ecological Poultry Farm].

She transplants a wild medicinal herb and earns [Supreme Healing Medicine] and [High-Yield, Drought-Resistant Sweet Potato Seeds].

Half a month later, her father returns to the village with the father-and-son hunters. The greedy relatives expect to find Chen Xiaohe’s family starved to death in their hut, but instead they smell the rich aroma of meat wafting out!

The greedy relatives want to freeload?

Her father gives a cold laugh and chases them off with his shoulder pole!

Just before the drought strikes, Chen Xiaohe uses her System to frantically stockpile food and improve crop varieties. Then the two families hit it off and move straight into the deep mountains.
