Players Are My Underlings, and Cultivators Are My Hired Hands

Programmer Chai Yuan died on the night of the launch event for the game he had made.

When he opened his eyes again, he had become a mass of data, trapped inside the game world.

Before he could even curse, a group of cultivators from another world descended from the sky. "An unclaimed secret realm! Take whatever resources you want!"

Chai Yuan fell silent.

Three seconds later, he opened the administrator's console.

From then on, cultivators discovered that every raid triggered a "hidden quest," every BOSS suddenly knew how to use tactics, and every secret realm seemed to have a pair of eyes watching them.

They didn't know that the "Heavenly Dao" was sitting back with his legs crossed, watching them work for him.

"Earth's players think they're exploring new territory, cultivators from the myriad worlds think they're investigating a mystery, and only I know that every last one of them is working for me."
