Zhu Qiyu transmigrates to the Ming Dynasty and becomes its least-favored, idle prince.
Just as the emperor is about to personally lead a military expedition, practically heading off to get himself killed, he decides that Zhu Qiyu looks honest and dependable. So he leaves him in the capital to “act as regent,” intending him to be nothing more than a figurehead.
But Zhu Qiyu awakens the 【Eternal Emperor System】, also known as the Ming Dynasty’s Number One Trickster System. All he has to do is take actions that overturn history to earn rewards.
And so Zhu Qiyu lets loose completely.
The officials won’t obey? He sends the Embroidered Uniform Guard to seize their estates, and the treasury is instantly overflowing!
The Oirat threaten the north? He brings out modern steelmaking methods and matchlock blueprints, turning the Ming army into a modern force of iron!
The ban on maritime trade is too restrictive? He opens the seas to trade, builds an invincible fleet, and makes a fortune doing business around the world!
A few months later, the emperor is captured at Tumu Fortress. After finally making his way back to the capital, he discovers that:
The capital has paved roads, the common people are eating high-yield sweet potatoes, and the Ming fleet has already reached Europe.
And the younger brother who was once “honest and dependable” is sitting on the dragon throne, smiling at him. “Elder Brother, times have changed. Why not retire early as the Retired Emperor?”
