Dust and Fragrance in the Sea of Spies: The Frail Beauty Goes Undercover, and Everyone Protects Him
Winter, 1936. As Shanghai stands on the brink of becoming an isolated island, undercurrents surge beneath the surface. The Japanese military has secretly devised the “Winter Crow Plan.” The top-secret documents contain the complete network of Japanese spies in Shanghai, the coordinates of their hidden arms depots, and a list of senior figures in Shanghai’s military and government targeted for recruitment. If the documents fall into the wrong hands, the patriotic resistance in Shanghai will suffer a devastating blow.
After underground Party comrades risk their lives to intercept the documents, they unexpectedly end up in Lu Zhengnian’s hands. He locks them inside a heavily guarded, classified room at the Investigation Squad headquarters, where no outsider could possibly reach them. For the sake of the top-secret documents, Shen Xingci walks willingly into the lion’s den. Let’s see who the hunter really is.
The story is unrelated to real history and is entirely fictional.
