Shen Mo is a private massage therapist who visits clients in the city’s most luxurious apartments and villas every day, encountering countless successful women who seem to have it all. To outsiders, they are elegant, wealthy, and composed. But only he, having met them up close, knows that beneath every flawless face lies pressure, loneliness, and secrets no one else can see. Some let down their guard in the dead of night; some are swept up by desire; others maneuver carefully through a world of fame and fortune. With quiet hands and watchful eyes, he witnesses the warmth and coldness of human nature, tangled love and hate, and battles of self-interest among the wealthy. He does not judge or interfere, yet with every house call, he gets drawn into the whirlpools of lives they cannot talk about openly. This is a silent contest of desire, secrets, and boundaries.
