Hogwarts: Starlight Finds Its Way Both Ways

“Astred Novak has a secret: she can sense other people's emotions.” So she knows that... Every time James Potter pulls a prank, his heart races as if he's just finished a Quidditch final, and he sneaks a glance at her; When Sirius Black turns into a big dog and waits outside her dorm late at night, it's because only she can help him fall asleep without fear. She also knows that... On that stormy night in fifth year, when all three of them were soaked and leaning against the door of the Room of Requirement, she could no longer tell whether the pounding in her chest was hers or theirs. Later, someone asked: What does it feel like to fall in love with two people at once? Astred thought for a moment. “It's like being lit by the sun and the moon at the same time: one makes you unafraid of what lies ahead, and the other makes you unafraid of the dark.” This is a story about redemption. She saves the stray dog cast aside by his family; he saves the lonely star pretending to fit in; together, they save an era shrouded in the shadow of war.
