Embroidered Guards: From the Start, I Was Cleaning Toilets, Yet My Intelligence Was Worth Ten Thousand Taels

Chen Mo transmigrates to the Hongwu era of the Ming dynasty and becomes a strongman in the Jinyiwei prison, whose job is to scrub the toilets. He is lowly as dust.

Then he awakens the [Eye of Intelligence], which lets him see other people's secrets and future fortunes and misfortunes.

He sees that his immediate superior will be sentenced to death by slicing three days later for the Hu Party case. He sees that the dying old beggar in the prison is actually destined to become the powerful Jinyiwei commander who will hold sway over the court.

He also sees a black dragon circling above the head of Yao Guangxiao, the monk at Prince Yan's residence, a dragon that will devour the Ming dynasty.

In silence, Chen Mo uses the scraps of silver he has saved from scrubbing toilets to buy roast chicken and medicine, then hands them to the old beggar.

Before his superior is dragged away, he quietly tells him, “My lord, beneath the osmanthus tree in the eastern city, there is a glimmer of hope for you.”

As for Prince Yan's residence... he picks up his brush and writes his first secret letter with his left hand:

“Beiping, monk, Yao, black dragon. Hongwu Year Fifteen, fifth month, twenty-seventh day.”

The letter's destination is Crown Prince Zhu Biao's desk.

From that day on, a lowly toilet scrubber begins wagering his life against the entire Ming dynasty, using the “secrets” he can see.
