The year they got together, Su Wan was almost forty, and Gu Jie was thirty-five.
Later, someone asked Gu Jie, “Do you regret meeting her so late?”
Gu Jie said, “No.”
“Because when I met her, I was finally able to recognize her.”
The person asked what she meant.
Gu Jie said, “A few years earlier, I wouldn’t have known myself, and I wouldn’t have recognized her either.”
