In the Cangwu Realm, cultivators prove their Dao through kindling, and the strength of their life-flame determines their power.
Lin Che was once a once-in-a-century prodigy and young sect master of the Kindling Sect. Gifted with the peerless Ashen Blade Flame, he was revered by all and pledged his life to Su Qingyan. He thought a bright future was in his grasp, never knowing that those dearest to him had already laid a deadly trap.
Betrayed, he fell from the heights. His uncle Lin Mo seized power and stole his flame, while his fiancée Su Qingyan personally extinguished it. His breastbone was shattered, and he was thrown into the freezing abyss. The once-gifted prodigy became a cripple everyone could bully overnight, barely surviving in the mines as he endured scorn and humiliation.
At the brink of despair, a spark of ash-flame still smoldered within his breastbone. By chance, he took hold of an ancient broken blade, and from then on, he defied fate and changed his destiny.
He endures humiliation and bides his time, forging a blade from hatred. He kindles his flame with righteousness and proves his Dao with his heart.
He finds a brother-in-arms in life and death, Tie Gang, and a confidante in Ye Zhuo. Rising from humble servant to powerful cultivator, he slays evildoers, foils conspiracies, brings down sects, and sweeps through the Xuanhui Valley. He will make every person who betrayed, bullied, or abandoned him pay.
Ash-flame rises, and ten thousand foes bow. One blade falls, and the heavens split.
Watch as Lin Che rekindles divine fire with his broken body and sweeps across the eight corners of the world with a lone blade, avenges a blood feud, restores order to the Cangwu Realm, and ultimately becomes a peerless Flame-Heaven Kindling Emperor!
