The Years I Stood My Ground in the Beast-Filled Siheyuan

Su Zhe wakes up to find he has transmigrated to 1963 and become a technician at a steel mill.

He’s been assigned a place to live, but there’s something wrong with this courtyard. Yi Zhonghai seems fair on the surface but is actually biased; Jia Zhangshi throws tantrums and rolls around on the ground to try to steal his home; and Silly Zhu is itching to step in on someone else’s behalf. The moment the whole-courtyard meeting ends, Su Zhe finds himself in the hot seat.

But Su Zhe isn’t a pushover.

Faced with moral blackmail, people throwing their age around, and smiles hiding daggers, he doesn’t argue or lose his temper. He sticks to the rules, invokes regulations, and keeps evidence. You want to throw your weight around? I’ll be tougher than you. You want to scheme? I’ll make sure your plans fall through.

Others transmigrate to enjoy the good life. He’s here to take on a bunch of “beasts.”

Watch me find my footing in this den of beasts, one step at a time, and show them what it means to fight back head-on.
