Jingtai: The Tumu Crisis from the Start

When an ordinary teacher wakes up, he finds himself as Zhu Qiyu, the unluckiest prince in the Ming dynasty. His brother, a legendary warrior, sits on the throne. He has led 200,000 elite troops on a personal expedition, only for his army to be wiped out and himself captured by the Oirats.

At court, the Empress Dowager rules from behind the curtain, powerful eunuchs hold sway, officials are gripped by fear, and wealthy merchants flee south in the dead of night. Zhu Qiyu is shoved into the role of regent, though he has no real power.

Watching the Oirat cavalry roll toward the city and the nest of corrupt officials and hidden traitors within its walls, Zhu Qiyu silently draws his sword.

Since he's transmigrated, he'll be the emperor! He'll defend this realm!

First, he'll execute the traitors to make an example of them. Then he'll ready the army for war. He'll make Esen know that the Ming has a new master!
