The Empress’s KPI Assessment

Su Yao, HR director at a top corporation, unexpectedly transmigrates into the Great Zhou dynasty as an empress who has been neglected ever since her coronation.

She faces the mess left behind by the previous empress: an overbearing Noble Consort, an insidious Consort De, and a Consort Xian who has chosen to lie flat. The imperial harem is rife with complicated relationships and internal strife.

Luckily, she awakens the [Harmonious Harem Management System]!

Su Yao smiles. “Building relationships, setting policies, tracking performance: this is my specialty.”

Her first move: introduce the Harem Harmony Code of Conduct. She establishes a “Perfect Attendance Award,” grants points for resolving conflicts, and rewards those who report rumors. Points can be exchanged for leave to visit one's family, permission for one's birth family to visit, and even the right to choose dishes from the imperial kitchen.

The Noble Consort is stunned. “That actually works?”

Consort De smiles. “How interesting.”

Consort Xian's eyes light up. “You can earn points by slacking off too?”

That evening, the emperor comes to visit. He finds the phoenix bed buried under reports, while the empress doesn't even look up. “Your Majesty, please wait a moment. I'm just revising the collaboration weighting for this department.”

The emperor laughs in anger. “Empress, have you forgotten who calls the shots in this harem?”

Su Yao looks up with a professional smile. “You're the chairman, and I'm the executive CEO. You handle the state; I keep the home front stable. We're partners.”

A month later, the atmosphere in the harem has been completely transformed, and satisfaction is soaring. The System issues its ultimate mission: build a model harem, support the Great Zhou's golden age, and help women realize their value.
