The Fallen Palace: The Empress Is Hard to Woo

[Two female leads, alternate history, original worldbuilding, 1v1, happy ending, both are each other’s only one, pregnancy possible] Liang Han (Prince Jing): “Your Majesty… can you truly not tolerate me?” Jun Wanning (Empress): “In the end, we are not of the same mind. Liang Han, whenever I see you, the Prince Jing appointed by the late emperor, it feels as though I’m being reminded that my claim to the throne is illegitimate.” When the rabbits are dead, the hounds are cooked; when the birds are gone, the good bows are put away. Liang Han: “If Your Majesty wants to kill the hound after the rabbits are caught, so be it. I request that I be stripped of my title and made a commoner, and that I leave the capital. I’ll stay far away from Your Majesty from now on, but Your Majesty must agree to one condition.” Liang Han gently touched the empress’s cheek, then grasped her chin with her fingertips. “What condition?” Jun Huaijin still hadn’t realized danger was closing in around her. “Didn’t Your Majesty say I wanted this supreme power?” “What do you mean by that?” … Liang Han sealed Jun Wanning’s pressure points, then leaned down and kissed her lips. “All I’ve ever wanted is Your Majesty.” … The empress Jun Wanning, whose heart is constantly being swayed, and the scheming power broker Liang Han, who plans several steps ahead. Note: Pregnancy is possible, but requires medication.
