Shining for You: A Heartbeat Pact

Ruthless CEO vs. sunny, all-around idol

Marriage first, love later + System + special abilities

The icy CEO thinks he’s entering a marriage of convenience, never realizing his sweet young husband is serious about it.

Pei Heng had never been afraid of anything in his life, except for two things: dying before his grandparents, and that little menace named Yu Nian.

At his twenty-fifth birthday party, his head throbbed so badly that he staggered out to the garden for some air. He nearly fell, but a handsome young man caught him.

The headache vanished.

The young man glanced at him, then ran off.

Pei Heng: ? Wait, don’t run! I haven’t even asked who you are.

Pei Heng decided to test it again.

At a party, he deliberately arranged for a server to spill champagne on him, using the chance to touch the young man again. His headache vanished once more.

Pei Heng: It’s confirmed. He’s my human painkiller.

To give himself a legitimate reason to see him regularly, Pei Heng proposed a marriage contract.

Yu Nian’s eyes lit up. “Sure!”

Pei Heng: ? That was easy.

Yu Nian’s inner monologue: My love at first sight is practically offering himself to me. Why wouldn’t I say yes?

And so began a marriage where they were supposedly “getting what they wanted.”

When Pei Heng finally realized he had fallen for him, his first thought was: No. I’m sick. I can’t hold him back.

He asked for a divorce.

For the first time, Yu Nian lost his temper with him. “Fine, let’s get divorced! I’ll find someone new tomorrow. Can you live with that?”

Pei Heng: ...No. (He had never felt so helpless in his life.)

Only later did Pei Heng learn that Yu Nian could not only cure his terminal illness, but also heal his fear of falling in love.
