Late Ming: Rebuilding the World

In the first year of the Chongzhen era, Lin Ce, a modern soul, transmigrates into the body of an impoverished centurion in Yulin Guard, northern Shaanxi. His home is bare, more than a dozen servants are starving, Mongol cavalry circle beyond the frontier, and officials above him bleed him dry at every turn. He starts by putting his shattered unit in order, improving firearms, opening up border trade, and gathering displaced refugees. Through the mountains of corpses and seas of blood at the end of the Ming Dynasty, he fights his way to victory. He wages war across northern Shaanxi, vies for supremacy in the Central Plains, destroys the Manchu Qing, and expands into the South Seas. After twenty years of war, the lowly frontier soldier becomes an emperor whose realm stretches for thousands of miles. He creates the largest territory in Chinese history and forges a legendary golden age of iron and blood.
