Adapted from "My Date with a Vampire". After the final battle of the 2019 Hong Kong Storm, Ma Xiaoling finds that there are no more monsters or demons in Hong Kong. But Taiwan, which is outside the jurisdiction of the central government, has been overrun by them since 2016. Leftover Japanese colonial forces, alongside evil forces from Europe and America, are wreaking havoc there. Ma Xiaoling accepts her superiors' orders to go to Taiwan once more and rid it of demons.
Her superiors explain that Taiwan was ceded to Japan by the corrupt and inept Qing government. China reclaimed it after winning World War II, but the civil war left the two regions under separate administrations. They had coexisted peacefully until the past decade, when monsters and demons in Taiwan began misleading the public. At the request of patriots, the Dragon Clan's Ma family is asked to rid Taiwan of the demons left behind by the Japanese occupation, as well as those that have come from Europe and America in recent decades, and help the people see the truth.
They also introduce Ma Xiaoling to Ma Xiaoyue, her niece and a descendant of a branch of the Ma family that moved to Taiwan after 1949. Ma Xiaoyue's grandfather, Ma Shouzheng, was also a patriot who fought against monsters and demons. He died years ago in battle against the demon Hatta Yoichi.
