Chen Jingzhe, the protagonist, is a treasure seeker born with the ability to hear sounds beneath the earth. He does not take the path of robbing tombs in search of treasure. Instead, he gives his life in exchange for the life of this land.
Beginning at Withered Mountain, he travels across the nine great spiritual veins, retrieving hidden spiritual treasures, repairing the earth’s veins, and protecting all living beings. Along the way, the plan his grandfather laid over sixty years is gradually revealed. The Old Ghost gives his life to see him through his final journey, while Su Qingyan waits a lifetime to meet him each year on Jingzhe.
This is not one person’s story. It is the story of three generations of guardians who protected this land with their flesh and blood. They became part of the earth’s veins, transforming into heartbeats, into spring breezes, and into peach blossoms that bloom unfailingly each year on Jingzhe.
