This is the story of a living man who serves as a yin messenger. It explains the ways of the mortal world. Some do good yet suffer, while others do evil and enjoy good fortune. Some are poor yet keep their principles, while others are wealthy and practice virtue. Some couples are fated to part, some children are unfilial, some live with disability and hardship, some do good but die young, some prodigals turn over a new leaf, and some face punishment when their good fortune runs out.
Good and evil are repaid, not in this life, but through reincarnation.
Poverty and prosperity are not decided in this life, but by ties from a past life.
Every unfair fate is part of a closed loop of cause and effect.
It's not that there is no retribution, only that the time has not yet come.
When the time comes, everything will be repaid.
This book wants to tell you just one thing:
Be kind with all your heart, and don't worry about what lies ahead.
Because kindness is never left unrewarded.
It's just that sometimes, the reward comes a little late.
If not in this life, then in the next.
If not here in the mortal world, then at the edge of the sky.
So please, be kind.
Help whoever you can.
Smile for as long as you can.
Love whoever you can.
Life is worth living.
And so are you.
