This is my first book. Please forgive the rough writing, and no hate, thank you.
A dream so vivid it cuts to the bone lets Qiu Yingying glimpse the life that was supposed to be hers: trusting the wrong people, setbacks at work, a miserable marriage, and a lifetime trapped in hurt and compromise, becoming someone even she can't stand. She has no golden finger to let her be reborn and turn back time, but this terrifying dream makes her see the cost of weakness once and for all.
After waking, she walks into a familiar café and verifies for herself that the coffee-business methods from her dream are real and within reach. At that moment, she no longer hesitates. She tears apart the illusion of security, leaves her cubicle in Shanghai behind, puts on a military uniform, and sets out to be transformed by the rigors of army life.
From a new recruit who cries because she can't finish a three-kilometer run, to a battle-hardened soldier who earns a third-class merit citation, shoulders her responsibilities, and protects her comrades; from being injured and discharged to returning to Shanghai, becoming a police tactical instructor, opening an army-themed café, and protecting the friends closest to her. With the strength of a soldier, she breaks free of fate's constraints and, through determination and courage, becomes a light that shines for herself and warms others.
This isn't a feel-good story about seeing the future. It's the coming-of-age epic of a girl who escapes her destiny and tempers herself into steel through her choices and perseverance. She doesn't save anyone, but her transformation lets the five women of Ode to Joy and everyone around her see that life holds another kind of burning possibility.
It's pretty good, but I think it's a bit exaggerated, but after all, it's acceptable for a novel and it's really good-looking. It's just that there are so few people about this book. I saw it in the recommended section and put it up for several days, but I still haven't seen anyone comment or rate it.
