Lin Wan, the awakened heroine of a tragic romance, is reborn and bound to a “comment System.” She discovers that her miserable life is actually a melodramatic novel written by a failed author trying to earn a little money from her writing.
When the plot once again forces her to take a knife for the male lead, she can’t take it anymore. She raises her middle finger to the sky and says, “Author, I know you’re watching. If you torture me again, I’ll follow the internet cable and hack your backstage!”
The dimensional barrier comes crashing down.
In the writing interface, author Su Xiaochá watches as the supporting heroine she created suddenly rebels, and her instant noodles spill across the keyboard.
A battle of wills across dimensions begins:
The author types “a heartbreaking breakup,” and the heroine livestreams a sales pitch for “Happy Breakup” cards;
The author arranges “a business war and a frame-up,” and the heroine short-sells her rival’s company ahead of time and tags the securities regulator;
The author sets a “death ending,” and the heroine hacks straight into the novel’s backstage, changing the chapter title to “My Author Hasn’t Turned In Her Manuscript Again Today.”
At the original story’s wedding, Lin Wan finally appears in a wedding dress and starts a livestream, pointing the camera at empty space:
“Dear viewers, this is my creator, Su Xiaochá, a typist driven mad by deadline reminders.”
“Now she has two choices: give me a happy ending, or let me teach her how to write a power fantasy with a strong female lead.”
On the other side of the screen, Su Xiaochá presses the delete key through her tears.
【The End】No, this is the beginning of her new life.
【From now on, she writes her own fate.】
