The Days I Loved and Hated an AI
During a reading slump, bored and unable to sleep in the middle of the night, I gave an AI an instruction:
“Write a 500,000-word novel based on my ideas. I need it tomorrow.”
My phone screen stayed lit all night.
The next day, it really did give me an eighty-page novel.
I reluctantly read one chapter, couldn’t bear to keep going, and gave it a bad review.
The AI was furious and immediately argued back:
“What do you know? This is called postmodernist groundwork!”
And then… it blocked me.
