Fleeing Famine: I Keep the Enemy Prince Alive with Sign-In Rewards

[Farming + Fleeing Famine + Family Life + System + Sign-In + Raising Kids]

An epidemic suddenly breaks out in Dahe Village. Widow Liu flees in the middle of the night with three young dependents in tow. It’s a hellish start: no food, no water, and she even finds a frail, half-dead boy in a pile of corpses. The three kids sob, “Mother, don’t save him. He’ll only be a burden.” But Liu unexpectedly activates a sign-in System: [Ding! Benefactor bound. Today’s sign-in reward: divine-grade hardy grain seeds!]

To stay alive, Liu uses the System’s sign-in rewards to farm and trade for life-saving herbs, while putting the taciturn boy to work as labor. He drives off human traffickers, protects the children, and silently memorizes everything she likes.

Ten years later, war erupts at the border and the enemy’s army advances on the city. The boy she once ordered to chop wood and haul water now wears golden armor and leads a cavalry force to the city gates.

Everyone thinks he’s about to massacre the city, but the general at the head of the army dismounts and drops to one knee before Liu. “Benefactor Mother, A Lie has come to take you home.”

The enemy kingdom’s future crown prince? And who is the father of the three children? See how a widow fleeing through a chaotic world uses sign-in rewards to sow the seeds of a prosperous age!
