In 2028, a memory-altering technology called "Deep Dive" begins circulating on the black market. Users can enter other people's dreams and alter, implant, or even erase their memories. Shen Ye discovers that every memory from the past three years is fabricated: his "wife" is a stranger, his "job" never existed, and he isn't even sure who he is. When he begins investigating the truth, he notices that everyone around him looks at him the same way: with pity, fear, and... surveillance. Even worse, a woman's voice keeps echoing in his mind: "Don't trust anyone, including yourself."
